Glass Blowing 1
Session 1 September 13th - October-18th 7PM-9:30PM $600
Session 2 November 5th - December 17th 7 PM-9-:30 PM $600
This class is designed for students with little or no experience working with hot glass. Through demonstrations and hands on working experience students will learn how to gather glass out of the furnace and create unique pieces. We will start with paperweights and flowers and then move on to blown cups. This class is designed to introduce students to the hot shop and give a solid set of skills so that the students can begin to explore their artistic expressions in hot glass.

Glass Blowing 2

In this class students will refine and expand the skills that they have worked on in Glass blowing 1. There will be an emphasis on working as a team. We will work on additional color techniques and more complicated shapes. This is an opportunity for students that have completed Glass blowing 1 to become more comfortable handling hot glass, hone their skills and start to have the ability to create their own unique artistic creations.

One Day Glass Pumpkin Workshop
October 24th 10:30AM- 4:PM $195
Get into the Halloween mood but learning to create your own individual glass pumpkin. Students will learn the basics of gathering glass, adding color, and forming this hot glass into a unique pumpkin. This is a great way to get an introduction to working with hot glass. No experience necessary

Please join us at Scanlan Glass for our August open house. There will be glass blowing demonstrations as well as the opportunity for you to make a paperweight. Join the party, experience the thrill of watching hot glass being turned into unique creations, as well as having the opportunity to experience working with hot glass yourself.

One-Day Ornament Workshop
December 5th 10:30AM-4PM $195
Join this one-day workshop and learn how to make those wonderful glass ornaments you have always admired. You will learn how to gather hot glass out of the furnace, add color to it , and blow it into a bubble that will become the ornament. We will then put a hook on it and you will have a wonderful holiday ornament to share with you friends and family. This is not only a great introduction to blowing glass but it can also be a wonderful pre-holiday gift to a friend.
